ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, SD (KELO.com) — The B-21 Raiders and 14-thousand airmen and airwomen are on their way to South Dakota’s Ellsworth Airforce Base. State Senate Majority Leader Casey Crabtree says the state has to be ready to receive them. The Legislature’s Executive Board has appointed members to the Ellsworth Task Force to coordinate the state’s efforts.
The Federal government is investing two-billion dollars for the expansion at Ellsworth. Senator Crabtree says that also means additional investment on the part of the state.
Senator Crabtree says the magnitude of the two-billion dollar upgrade at Ellsworth will have an impact on the entire state.
